The “MZ Wannabe Icons” are officially trading their “self-love” glow for something much darker. IVE comeback is confirmed with their highly anticipated second full-length album, REVIVE+, on February 23, 2026. It is a quick turnaround—just six months after their IVE SECRET mini-album dominated the charts—but DIVEs certainly aren’t complaining.
To kick things off, the group will drop a pre-release single titled “BANG BANG” on February 9 at 6 p.m. KST. This isn’t the bright, high-teen IVE we’re used to. Instead, the track signals a massive shift in their sound, moving away from breezy pop toward a more intense, atmospheric vibe that feels cinematic and heavy.
A Gritty Visual Pivot: The “CHALLENGERS” Concept

IVE is ditching their polished aesthetic for a gritty, mysterious direction titled “CHALLENGERS.” The visual concept for ‘REVIVE+’ is a whole mood. It uses a haunting night-vision effect, heavy film grain, and high-contrast noir lighting to create something that feels more like a thriller than a K-pop comeback.
In the teaser images, the members cut through the pitch-black darkness with neon green flashlights. It is a bold departure from their narcissistic roots. Fans are already losing it over the specific styling choices. Liz looks incredible posing with a vintage red car, while Jang Wonyoung is channeling “vengeance” in a white trench coat holding a red apple. The look has already sparked immediate Kill Bill comparisons across social media.
Jang Wonyoung’s Growing Lyrical Portfolio
The makeover isn’t just about the visuals. IVE is also highlighting their musical growth this time around. Jang Wonyoung is officially credited as a lyricist for the pre-release track “BANG BANG.” This marks her continued evolution as a songwriter, following her previous work on fan-favorites like “Attitude” and “XOXZ.”
But she isn’t doing it alone. Wonyoung joined forces with a “dream team” of K-pop hitmakers. According to reports, the lyrics for “BANG BANG” also feature contributions from legendary lyricist Seo Ji Eum—the pen behind “Love Dive” and “After LIKE”—alongside Hwang Yubin and WJSN’s EXY.
“This concept represents a maturation of the IVE brand, moving from self-admiration to a more competitive, ‘challenger’ mindset that reflects a survival instinct.”
