ILLIT’s Moka is going on another hiatus after BELIFT LAB shared a new health update. Her future schedule will be determined by medical advice. The agency announced that the group will keep performing and touring with four members while she rests and recovers.

BELIFT LAB Official Statement

Hello, this is BELIFT LAB.

We would like to provide an update regarding ILLIT member MOKA’s future activities.

Since the preparation stages of the 4th Mini Album comeback, MOKA has been receiving treatment and working on her recovery regarding excessive tension and symptoms of anxiety. Although she participated in some music shows during the final week of the promotions period out of a strong personal desire to see the fans, it was determined that she requires a more stable period of rest for a sufficient recovery, and careful discussions with MOKA and the other members have since taken place.

As a result, MOKA has decided to temporarily suspend all activities and focus on her health and recovery.

We are sad to be sharing this news with fans who have been waiting so patiently. The artist herself is also deeply saddened that she will not be able to see fans during this time.

ILLIT will continue activities as a four-member group for the time being, and we will provide necessary support to the fullest extent for MOKA’s recovery and stability so that she can return in good health and meet fans again.

We kindly ask for fans’ generous understanding and warm support.

We will provide further updates regarding her return at a later date.

Thank you.

Timeline of Her First Hiatus

Moka first went on hiatus on April 20. The agency announced that Moka paused her activities on April 20 on doctor’s orders due to sudden health issues, causing the group to promote their comeback with four members. BELIFT LAB said that although Moka is eager to participate in group activities, the agency decided that prioritizing her recovery and treatment must come first. However, she returned to work starting with her appearance on KBS2’s Music Bank on May 29.

The company said that after focusing on treatment and rest, she received medical clearance for a manageable schedule, driven by her strong personal wish to return to the stage and see fans. They further added that her health remains the top priority, meaning certain upcoming appearances may still be adjusted based on how she is feeling.

Fans Noticed Moka Crying

However, fans noticed Moka crying during the live broadcast of Inkigayo and needing help from security to walk away afterward. The show’s YouTube channel did not upload ILLIT’s video, even though it posted clips of other performers, which led fans to question if management rushed her return to work too soon.

ILLIT spoke directly about the situation, with Yuna sharing on the fan app Weverse, “During our 5-week promotions, we were able to meet many Gleat members [ILLIT’s official fan club] and feel everyone’s love. We are truly grateful.” She added, “It was disappointing to return as four members at first, but we were lucky to finally perform together as all five.

“We are so thankful to our Gleat members who waited for us to be whole again, and we want to tell Moka how hard she worked.” Even though she didn’t talk directly about Moka’s health, the message comforted fans by showing that the group was able to finish their schedule with all five members. Now, on June 19, she is going on hiatus again.

Fans’ Reaction to The Hiatus News

Fans flooded social media with an outpouring of love and well-wishes for Moka, prioritizing her health and well-being above everything else. Many expressed deep concern over her recurring health struggles while urging BELIFT LAB to ensure she gets all the time and care she needs to fully recover without pressure.
