PLEDIS Entertainment’s Official Statement
Hello.
This is PLEDIS Entertainment. On Friday, July 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM (KST), WONWOO’s Digital Album “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter” will be released via online streaming sites.
“Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter” includes two tracks: the Korean version, “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter (Korean Ver.),” and the Japanese version, “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter (Japanese Ver.).”
We look forward to CARAT’s enthusiastic love and support.
Thank you.
This song is about holding onto happy memories shared with a loved one throughout the year and wishing those times would last. Wonwoo’s warm voice makes the track feel extra special. According to PLEDIS Entertainment, there is also a Japanese version called ‘Shunka Shuto’ that was released at the same time. Wonwoo is keeping up a tradition by releasing this, just like he did last year with his birthday solo, ‘Gogae. ‘He wrote and composed that song too, which proved how well he can sing with emotion.
Wonwoo started his mandatory military service as a public service worker on April 3, 2025. Even while serving, he didn’t let his birthday pass by without giving a gift to his fans. He surprised everyone today with a new digital single titled ‘Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.’ CARATs are already counting down the days until his official return on January 2, 2027. When SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo started his service as a public service worker on April 3, 2025, his daily routine changed a lot from his busy idol schedule to a regular government job. Unlike soldiers who live on military bases, public service workers live at home and work standard 9-to-5 hours at government offices, getting weekends and national holidays off just like regular office workers.
How Wonwoo Released an Album While Being in the Military
Wonwoo released the digital album while in the military because it was fully prepared, recorded, and completed before his enlistment. South Korean military laws strictly prohibit active-duty soldiers and public service workers from engaging in profit-making work or secondary employment during their service. K-pop agencies legally navigate this requirement using a standard industry practice. Before joining the military in April 2025, PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed that Wonwoo would still appear in content filmed ahead of time. Because he is currently serving as a social service agent, Wonwoo cannot make television appearances, give interviews, or actively promote the track online.
For many fans, this birthday release feels like a personal gift that captures the real meaning of time and memories. CARATs all over the world are filling social media with sweet messages and creative tributes to celebrate his special day.
