DSP Media has officially confirmed KARD’s disbandment, announcing on July 6 that BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo will end group activities to work on individual projects. Fans are heartbroken, as KARD wasn’t just a typical group; they were one of the most successful co-ed acts in K-pop. The agency stated that they reached this decision after speaking with all four members and thanked their fans, Hidden KARD, for their years of support.

When KARD Debuted and Their Successful Career
After nearly nine years since their debut, the group is closing this chapter after their final release, Where To Now? (Part 2): NOWHERE and a 2026 farewell world tour that began in April and wrapped with a final Seoul show in June. KARD officially debuted on July 19, 2017. They started their career with their first mini-album, Hola Hola, and its hit title track “Hola Hola.”
KARD became international stars right from the start. Their 2016 pre-debut single “Oh NaNa” hit No. 5 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Then, their 2017 debut EP, Hola Hola, went viral, reaching the charts in 32 countries in just three hours. Over the years, KARD earned many awards. They won the Rookie Award in 2017 and the New Wave Award in 2018 at the Asia Artist Awards.
They were also named Best Co-ed Group at the Korea First Brand Awards for several years in a row and, most recently, won the K-POP Global Entertainment Grand Prize at the Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards. The group kept breaking their own records. Their 2022 mini-album, Re:, reached their highest first-week sales yet and hit No. 14 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart.
