BIGBANG Sold Out Their First Oakland Show in Just 30 Minutes

BIGBANG 2026 world tour Oakland concert announcement

BIGBANG’s first Oakland stop on their 2026 world tour didn’t just sell well; it disappeared in 30 minutes. The September 5 concert at Oakland Coliseum is a part of the group’s 20th anniversary tour. Tickets for the concert sold out super fast. So, YG quickly added a second Oakland date for September 4. For a second-generation K-pop group returning to the stage after years, that kind of demand is a real statement.

And the rush makes sense. BIGBANG is going on a 31-show stadium tour, which is their first tour since 2017. They are only playing two dates in the US: Oakland and MetLife Stadium on September 11. When a group with this kind of legacy limits the market that hard, tickets were always going to turn into a bloodbath.

Online, longtime fans (VIPs) are feeling both shocked and nostalgic. For many, BIGBANG’s 2026 tour is more than just a celebratory comeback. Seeing G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung back in massive stadiums feels like a rare chance. After their long break and T.O.P’s departure, this reunion is truly special.

But there are still practical concerns in the mix. Fans have also raised familiar worries about stadium sightlines and ticket prices. Even so, fans are way more excited than they are worried.

Now the big question is the music. BIGBANG will kick off their anniversary tour with three shows at Goyang Stadium from August 21 to 23. However, no one knows yet if they will play new music or stick mostly to their classic hits.
