TWICE’s Jeongyeon is not confirmed to be leaving JYP Entertainment. But she has now been confirmed to have met with VARO Entertainment, and TWICE fans are now closely watching her contract.

The rumors spread fast because TWICE is currently renegotiating its contracts with JYP. They last extended their deals back in 2022. On June 24, 2026, the acting agency VARO confirmed that they recently held a private meeting with TWICE’s Jeongyeon. VARO is the home agency for actor Byeon Woo Seok and Jeongyeon’s older sister, Gong Seung Yeon. However, the label also made it clear that no contract has been signed yet.
This doesn’t mean Jeongyeon is definitely leaving JYP. Instead, it looks like she might just be planning for solo projects or acting roles. JYP also stated they are respecting the members’ personal wishes. This fueled rumors that Jeongyeon might choose a split setup, staying with JYP for the group but using a different agency for her individual projects.
The timing makes sense. Jeongyeon is preparing for her acting debut in “New Recruit: The Movie”, where she will play a military nurse. And with no official solo music plans announced, fans think that she is getting ready to start a new career path.
For now, Jeongyeon has not signed with a new agency, and there is no verified report that she has fully left JYP.
