HYBE’s new girl group Tuide is already getting a lot of attention. One big reason is that member Park Seoyeon is the younger sister of TWICE leader Jihyo. The company is a subsidiary record label under HYBE that specializes exclusively in girl group production. ABD, which stands for A Bold Dream. Moreover, it was established on May 8, making Tuide the very first act out of the sublabel.

The HYBE girl group Tuide consists of 7 members named Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Hanee. Their name comes from “Tune the tide,” a phrase meant to reflect a new wave of joy and each member’s individuality. Veteran producer Han Sung-soo from Pledis Entertainment will lead the production of the new girl group, according to HYBE.
He has previously worked with artists like Seventeen, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS. HYBE announced that TUIDE will perform all the songs from their debut album at a preview event before their official debut. The event will take place on August 1–2 at Layers Studio 11 in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event is called “TUIDE EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW [PLAYGROUND].” It will feature music and performances before the group’s official debut and before the members’ faces or profiles are revealed to the public.
