TXT Series Showed a Naked Child, Facing Massive Public Backlash

TXT’s variety show, TXT Parenting Diary, is facing serious backlash after a bath scene involving 14-month-old Yoojun spread across social media.

The show is about the band looking after a toddler named Yoojun. At first, fans thought it was really sweet. Fans loved the “rookie dads” energy, sharing clips of the members reading to him, handling tantrums, cooking, and trying their best to keep up. But that mood shifted fast once one scene from the episode started circulating online.

Why the TXT Yoojun bath scene is being criticized

People are angry because they feel the bath scene should have been cut from the show. In episode 8, the group gets ready to give the baby a bath. While bathing a baby is normal, viewers were upset because the show filmed the baby without clothes and only used digital stickers to cover up his private parts.

One clip went viral because it showed Yoojun crying loudly while Beomgyu tried, but failed, to comfort him. In that same scene, the camera even zooms in on the baby’s bottom, which made people uncomfortable. Some people online also blamed the baby’s parents. They asked why the parents would let such a young child be filmed, especially during a private moment like a bath, just for entertainment and money.

Critics argued that airing such an intimate moment involving a toddler crossed a line on privacy, especially in paid entertainment content. Once the clip went viral online, the conversation turned into a bigger debate about protecting children on TV and whether the show went too far.

Several fans stressed that their issue was not TXT caring for Yoojun, but the adults behind the program choosing to film and air the scene in the first place.

Mixed reactions from MOAs and netizens

Not everyone reacted the same way. Some viewers argued the scene was meant to show a natural, family-like atmosphere and said the backlash felt excessive.

Many MOAs made sure not to blame the members for what the show’s producers decided to broadcast. Onscreen, TXT were largely praised for being gentle and attentive with Yoojun. The criticism has instead focused on HYBE, Wavve, and the staff responsible for approving the episode.

No official response yet

Both HYBE and Wavve are staying completely silent about the controversy. They have not yet released any official statements to the public.
