Jungkook is facing vocal backlash, and just yesterday, he addressed the backlash over “Magic Shop” vocals after BTS’s first day in Tampa set off a heated online debate.
BTS launched the North American leg of the Arirang World Tour 2026 on April 25 at Raymond James Stadium. The opening night was packed with big stage and fans. But one clip spread fast across social media for all the wrong reasons. With some viewers calling Jungkook and BTS’s live “Magic Shop” vocals “shaky” and even “horrible.”
Online reaction split almost immediately. Some netizens used the specific moment to fuel Jungkook vocal backlash.

While most fans are defending him and saying that the issue sounded technical.
anyone who watches this and can’t see it was clearly a mic issue is stupid because do you think bts all telepathically decided to start singing every line in vibrato 😭😭😭 https://t.co/JdYy8Ft6SB

According to post-show explanations, Jungkook was dealing with problems with his in-ear monitors during “Magic Shop.” This made it hard to hear himself properly in a stadium setting. That kind of malfunction can throw off pitch and vocal stability fast.
What Jungkook Said In His Story
Less than a day later, Jungkook addressed it himself on his Instagram Story, writing:
“There were sound issues with Magic Shop yesterday. No worries, from today on, we’ll get it right. Sorry to the ARMYs who came to see the performance yesterday.”
