BTS Jin and Top K-Celebs Voting in the 2026 Korean Elections

BTS’s Jin was one of the biggest names spotted at South Korea’s local elections today. He took a quick break from the group’s world tour, flying back to Korea to cast his vote in Seoul’s Hannam-dong neighborhood on June 3.

According to The Korea Herald, Jin voted alongside fellow BTS members RM, Jimin, and Suga on election day. Rapper Woo voted at the same Hannam-dong polling station as BTS’s Jin, wearing a white T-shirt and black beanie. Martin & Juhun from Cortis celebrated their very first election by posting early voting certificates. Early voting had already run from May 29 to May 30, ahead of the nationwide local elections on June 3.

Photos and local reports showed the members visiting polling stations near their homes and dorms. Staff also appeared to move carefully to keep things low-key and avoid drawing crowds.

Korean celebs’ voting drew attention

Jin was one of several familiar faces at the polls. During early voting and on election day, actors, singers, and idols were all seen heading out to vote.

Everyone watched the June 3 elections closely to see if people still supported President Lee Jae Myung. News companies like Reuters tracked how many people voted and how they felt. Korean celebrities face a lot of extra pressure and attention when they go to vote.

That’s why stars tend to be careful with what they wear, post, and even how they pose around election season. Even small things like the colors celebrities wear, their hand gestures, or their selfies can be seen as political statements.

A list of the hidden or quiet election rules was highlighted, which pointed to the usual wave of black and white selfies and neutral poses during voting periods.
