Privacy for Sale? Restaurant Sold BTS Members CCTV Footage

Various digital platforms claim that a restaurant in Apollo Beach allegedly initiated a BTS CCTV footage sale to a local news outlet before the group’s Tampa shows. And a photo of the group’s physical receipt (which detailed their specific food orders). Multiple angles of the members eating were leaked and broadcast. Still, no proof has been made public.

What is HYBE’s stance on the Case?

While HYBE has not issued a specific press release naming the Florida restaurant. But their position is clear from the “Zero-Tolerance” policy regarding the violation of artist privacy.

In their most recent legal update from March 2026, the agency directly stated that they are moving beyond simple “monitoring” and are now seeking criminal and civil litigation against any body that film or observes artists in their private residences or off-duty spaces. HYBE also warned it would take legal action over privacy violations or false claims tied to the group.

Some ARMYs called for a boycott of the restaurant campaign. Others urged people not to target a business based on rumor alone.
