The King is Back: Park Jihoon Drops New Single “Bodyelse”

Park Jihoon is back to singing with “RE:FLECT,” his first new album in three years. And the title track, “Bodyelse,” is already getting attention for its polished sound and movie-like theme.

Park Jihoon Bodyelse comeback still

After the official disbandment of Wanna One in early 2019, Park Jihoon transformed himself into both a strong solo singer and a talented actor.

He began his solo journey with the album O’Clock and continued to release new music that sounds much more grown-up. But for three years, Park Jihoon’s microphone was silent. He worked very hard to become one of the best actors in the industry.

He played roles in Weak Hero Class 1 and 2, and a dual role in Love Song for Illusion transformed his career. Now he’s using that energy to get back into music. Park Jihoon’s RE:FLECT album, which came out on April 29, 2026, is a major comeback for him.

“Bodyelse” has a medium-tempo pop sound. The song is about the moment when a strange feeling finally becomes clear as someone starts to take over your daily life. This mood shift makes the song catchy. It also fits the album’s theme of looking back on time, memories, and growing up.

The Bodyelse MV, filmed in Thailand, adds another layer to the video. There are strange close-ups and structures in the video, and the styling is said to be inspired by French pop. One moment it feels light, and the next it feels creepy. Fans are also focused on Park Jihoon’s orange buzz cut, which makes this comeback more unique.

Jihoon gave fans a sneak peek of the comeback at his “Same Place” fan meetings before it came out. MAY was the first to see “Bodyelse” live. He said, “I’m happy because of all of you, May.” This return doesn’t feel like a one-time thing; it feels like the start of Park Jihoon’s next chapter on stage, especially since he has fan concerts planned in Seoul and Tokyo.
