BTS made a huge comeback at the 2026 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. They won three of the biggest awards of the night: Artist of the Year and Song of the Summer for “Swim” and best male K-pop artist. This was a special moment for the group, as it was their first big reunion on a U.S. stage after being apart for solo projects and military service.
The group also kicked off the show with a video performance of their song “Hooligan,” which was filmed during their concert in Las Vegas the night before. Even though it wasn’t a live performance on stage, the crowd loved it. Many media outlets called this BTS’s first awards show performance in four years, making it a very special, full-circle moment for their fans. Later in the ceremony, BTS appeared onstage in person to present Best Female R&B Artist to SZA, who was clearly excited to receive the award from them.
