LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon has temporarily suspended activities due to neck pain, putting her health first as the group continues its 2026 schedule.
According to Source Music, Chaewon recently received hospital treatment after experiencing neck pain and was advised by medical staff to focus on rest and recovery. The agency is changing her schedule for now so she can focus on her treatment.
“Prioritizing the artist’s health and safety,” Source Music said, explaining that Chaewon would step back from activities until she is able to return in a more stable condition.
This update follows months of growing concern from fans. Earlier this year, some viewers noticed that Chaewon seemed less active during certain performances. This started an online discussion, and people grew even more concerned as videos from recent shows spread on social media.
What led up to the Kim Chaewon hiatus?

LE SSERAFIM is still moving ahead with PUREFLOW pt.1. “However, the agency adjusted promotions around Chaewon’s absence.” Research tied to the comeback indicates that her vocal and dance parts were redistributed among the other members while the group continued scheduled activities.
For “Celebration,” they changed the live dance moves so the six members could keep the performance looking balanced without her. And fans, as expected, have been sending supportive messages across social platforms, with some communities organizing donation and support projects in Chaewon’s name.
