EXO’s Baekhyun & The Boyz Dragged In Illegal Gambling Ring Scandal

EXO’s Baekhyun and several members of The Boyz were suddenly caught up in a new controversy. On May 18, MC Mong went live on TikTok for 1.5 hours, and he claimed that he would expose a celebrity-linked illegal “Baduk-i” gambling ring. Shortly after the livestream ended, TikTok temporarily suspended MC Mong’s account for one week due to provocative, aggressive language and doxxing.

What MC Mong Claimed On TikTok

During the broadcast, MC Mong said the alleged network involved construction industry figures, company CEOs, and entertainers. MC Mong directed most of his anger at “Mr. A.” Mr. A is a close friend of Cha Ga-won (the co-founder of MC Mong’s company) and reportedly the uncle of a construction businessman involved with the label. He alleged that Mr. A had been secretly dating a famous, mid-career Korean actress for five years and, shockingly, claimed that the actress’s daughter formally calls Mr. A “father.” He specifically mentioned

Why Does He Mention Baekhyun and The Boyz

Baekhyun and members of The Boyz and he also alleged that Mr. A tried hard to get EXO’s Baekhyun into illegal gambling. MC Mong explicitly told Baekhyun that “a man should know how to gamble” and tried to convince him to go to Las Vegas. These claims are serious. But for now, they remain allegations and have not been independently verified or confirmed by anyone else. He used the live stream to distract people from an investigation by the show PD Notebook. The show was looking into claims that he stole company money to use for his own gambling.

MC Mong claimed he was innocent, had never even used a corporate card for coffee, and was instead being targeted by an “assassination campaign” led by “Mr. A.” MC Mong called the members ungrateful. During his live he also claimed that the company, One Hundred, paid them a massive signing bonus of 1.5 billion won ($1.1 million USD) each, totaling 16.5 billion won ($12 million USD). He said this was three times what their old agency offered. He also claimed their first album cost the company 7 billion won ($5.1 million USD) to make.

MC Mong claimed that from the early stages of establishing Big Planet Made Entertainment, a company executive proposed going overseas for gambling trips. He asserted that a specific gambling ring involving entertainers did exist, stating that members of this circle gave massive monetary tips to adult entertainment hostesses after winning games. MC Mong explicitly claimed that Kim Min-jong was present with these individuals and also received tips from the gambling winnings.

What Fans Are Pointing Out

The company, One Hundred, and its subsidiary, INB100, were already in trouble over unpaid money and contract disputes. MC Mong’s live stream just added gambling accusations to their growing list of problems.

Reports say several artists, including EXO-CBX, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Mu Jin, and VIVIZ, have moved to terminate their contracts with the company over unpaid wages and alleged breaches. The Boyz also reportedly filed complaints against One Hundred. That part of the story is different from MC Mong’s gambling claims, but fans are connecting the dots because the company is already facing a credibility crisis.
